The Ramblings of a Madman part I

Today's topic is about something we all know, love, hate and cherish.

Time.

Time; something that we wish we can control, but the closer we seem to be getting to it, the farther we actually become. When we have it in abundance, we kill it. When we have too little of it, we long for it. When it represents what happened, we remember it. When it represents what will happen, we ponder on it. When it represents what is happening, we try our best to ignore or forget it.

But what is time? Is it controlled by the dates on our calendar, or the revolutions of the earth? To me, time to us is but a fraction of what it actually is. All Man has done is to try to limit it to 365 days, with 12 months a year, in a bid to control it. Besides, Man has always liked to be in control of things. It probably frustrates him that time can never be controlled. Time is like the grains of sand, the more you try to make it conform to your needs, the more it slips out of your hand, fading into the dusty winds of your life.

To me, time is not the dates on the calendar. For Man, the most important time is HIS time. His time starts the minute he is born, and stops the minute he dies. This is the time we should focus on. This little speck of time that is but a shard in the great ages since the time of creation, is what is given to Man. He should cherish it and use it to its fullest before the last stroke of the clocks' hands.
